I HAVE A NINE WEEK OLD ROOSTER! IS IT NORMAL FOR IT TO HAVE RED VERY PUFFY BILATERAL AREAS UNDER BEAK/CHIN AREA! NORMAL?? DISEASE?? INFECTION??

I recently posted here about swelling under my chicken's wattle. I took her to the vet and it turns out she has a bacterial infection! The good news is that she's been on Baytril (prescription) for 5 days now and she's much, much better than she was. Maybe your roo has something similar?

You're sure this is a rooster? Sounds to me like you're just seeing his wattles developing, and it's perfectly normal. Take a look at a picture of an adult rooster in the same breed as your chick.
