Suddenly sick duck

my normaly pekin drake is drooping wings, lethargy, limp neck, I put him in Epsom salts and he almost fell asleep..no changes in feed environment, etc. 42 others healthy ducks. Clean pen, etc. No usual injuries, no bugs under feathers..maybe metal toxicity..gave probiotics, nutrients, food, etc..separated him. Can’t go to vet. Biggg farm. Help..I lovvve my ducks..his name is Henry

Someone go to the sticky’s and give a link for flushes please. Sounds like a toxin for sure. Poor fellow hope you can get a flush in him. Do you have activated charcoal? Works really good too.

Simple things first: Check Henry's feet for bumble-foot! Ducks are incredible in hiding illnesses and infections until it is almost too late. Last week i had a White Layer collapsing with fever-cramps caused by her infected feet. If Henry feels warm, have him sit in a bowl with colder water (tap warm) to bring his temperature down.
As a first measure give him activated charcoal to bind any toxins he may has swallowed. If it isn't a toxin, the coal will do no harm to him.

Well two ducks died within about two hours...neither had any injuries...I freaked out and bought meds for coccidiasis ....sp? We actually moved their entire pen:::40x50. And it has dens of course...cleaned those as best as we could due to rain storm..them we raked up old spot..lots of poop..but there was a soupy area that worried me..we dug it up completely and filled it back up with new dirt...now...can my goats and pigs get this..plus rabbits..and chickens obviously???

Did you see blood in their poop? How are the rest? I know chickens can get cocci, I imagine the goats an pigs can too since dogs can.

Ok. So after my post..my hubby came home..told him about maybe toxi and he remembered bringing home old sink yesterday from our apartments that had bad stuff in it like insulation and some ducks got into it...so.. I read your toxin link..I have the epsom salt and probiotic stuff...do I make them drink all this stuff three times a day if anyone shoes signs tomorrow or just soak them..it doesn’t say
