Finally I can maybe buy a candler. Can someone suggest one that they have used that is clear and reasonable? . I have used a flashlight up till now, but my sight is no longer as good, so I need more help now. Please suggest a good one. thanks

If you can afford it, brinsea makes perhaps the best one... Can be pricey tho...

We have a brinsea ovascope - it does about as good of a job on dark eggs and blue eggs as we have seen... Plus it is enclosed so you dont need a dark room to use it, it magnafies the egg which would help with your poor vision, and while the egg is enclosed it has a mechanism for turning the egg so you can see all sides without repositioning the egg... From brinsea.com i believe with shipping was $60ish

I use a three D cell Mag light. I haven't found a candler that I can see as well with. As I have gotten older my eyes aren't so good either.
