Suggestion for Keeping Smell Down

When I first bought this dilapidated farm I kept my first batch of birds in a back bedroom. I even made a ramp out the window for them in truly hillbilly fashion (the house was full of mice and snake skins anyway). I also hatched a batch in the kitchen oven. Once they were all moved out and remodeling began, the poop on the window sil had set up like concrete. I learned my lesson.
You have plenty of space it seems for your birds. Unfortunately, chickens stink.
Enjoy your coop building and bird raising adventure.

I didn’t even get birds until my coop was built and painted.
I did.

By the time they were 5 weeks, I was still working on it. From the time I got home from work around 4:30pm to around 10. I only partially painted the coop, only what needed painting.
The outside walls were primed. Two years later still not painted.
They were in a box that my generator came in on my enclosed front porch.
I did get them in the coop at 5 1/2 weeks. 20160509_122305.jpg
It's amazing how fast they grow.
