suggestions anybody?

My little girls RIR hen had an impacted crop. This is day 7 and at day 5 i had to give her ACV because of the rancid smell coming from her mouth. She still doesnt want drink much but ive been scrambling her eggs breaking up shells for her as well. Is this wrong? Shes eating as she wants to and shes starting to poop more. Its runny but looks consistant. Is all going well or do i need to do something else now like cooked rice. I still massage her crop but u can feel scratch feed inside still but its small, Bout the size of a 50cent piece. What else do i need to do

Olive oil soaked bread, if you can get it down her is sometimes helpful. If you can get a tube down her throat, bypassing the hole right behind the tongue( that goes to the lungs) the biggest one you can fit down, and attach it to a large 50ml syringe etc, you can try to suck some of what's trapped out of the crop. There is also a post on a crop surgery in helpful links at top of page, although most would use a vet for this.

I got a solid poop this morning but need to put some weight back on her. What would ge goodfor that?

I use baby parrot feeding formula, mushy canned dog food(warm), scrambled eggs......

Feed small quantities frequently until crop regains its muscle tone.
