Hello fellow Chicken Efficienados... I have a question to which I need an answer ASAP. I need to treat my chickens with sulfadimethoxine, and I am wondering whether someone can tell me the "dosage"/mixing instructions. I can't get a liquid form so I need to treat with the powder. I know that people usually talk about what they are treating and all, I just don't have time right now to go in to that. I can read on the package to add the contents of the package to 50 gallons of water, but I am not going to mix that much. The other thing is that I need to treat my turkeys as well, and on the package the dosage is half that of for chickens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, what would those in the know do??

Thanks so much!

Since each pack manufacture company can have different formulations, I would see if you can't measure out by volume the entire pack, and then divide it by 10 to figure out how much for 5 gallons. If that is still too much, and you can't divide the quantity any further, put the dosage for 5 gallons into one gallon, and use it 1:5 for the chickens and 1:10 for the turkeys to get the right amount.
