OK I have lost 5 more so I am down to almost half! Only ones that have died are Barred Rocks and RIR.
As far as I know none of my chicks were raised by hens. When I got them they were in wire pens off the ground, in a barn. They came from a local guy that has a small scale feed store and garden center. All of the local 4H kids get chicks from him. He has offered to replace anyhting that dies but I am not getting more chicks when I have a room full of sick ones!
I did go and get Corid. Strated it at lunch today. They were on sulmet for approx 48 hours. I also have continued the chick lytes and added plain greek yogurt ( all I can find with no sugar).
As far as the feed. The feed that I was given with the chicks does NOT have amprolium. It has bacitracin at 50g/ton. The feed I was told to buy HAS amprolium at 0125%. I mixed both feeds together so they didnt have a total food change.
My poor babies are dropping like flies!
