Is anyone breeding the Gold Duckwing variety?

ETA: Thinking along those lines... if anyone is breeding GD, have you crossed them with the Blue Wheatens that are out there to create Blue Gold Duckwings?

Or do you have any plans to?

This one is taking its time feathering out, but it looks like it may turn out blue wheaten too. He/ she has no black feathers like the other roos do.

Lol I have got my little ones calmed down, no flying and no running when I open their door. I have spent a lot of time feeding them from my hand but the little pullets are not so easy to touch. The pullets will eat from my hand but very seldom let me touch I was wondering if anyone has the blue wheatens breeding?

I feel bad that I have not given them more time during the holidays. I am glad yours are calm. Mine are treating me like I am the devil.

My girlfriend and I would lie to know how big these chickens normally get. How well do they breed? Is the meat really as good as they say. We are thinking of getting some of this breed. Thank you for your help.

Roosters are 6-8 lbs. hens are 5-7 lbs. I have had no problems at all with them breeding or fertility. And I have eaten two 16 week old roosters that weighed 5lbs after I skinned them (I don't like to pluck feathers). They are every bit as delicious as you have heard in my opinion.
