Sumatra Owners, Does anybody own any Sumatra's Roo's or hens

i own show quality, standard size black sumatras. NO, they do NOT have black skin and, they should have 3 or more spurs per leg (the same amount on each). my bird's personalities are very tame and loveable. they are one of the most docile breeds i have ever raised. i have never had a problem with any of the roos being aggressive with the other chooks. they have never tried to flogg or spur visitors, children or myself. i do breed and sell. if you are still looking for eggs or day olds, PM me. just loaded a batch yesterday, i can accept one more order before they go on a waiting list again. PM me for details, as i usually don't go back and re-read posts.

This is my latest baby black sumatra. They are beautiful birds.

I have one little week old black sumatra chick that I hatched from an egg I got from Harleysgirl. I've never had one before.

Just thought I'd post again. My mom is down to 2 trios of largefowl and a bunch of bantams, not sure on the number. She is planning on keeping all their eggs to build up the bantam flocks, everyone wants them it seems. It was funny, we were going through chicks today and one that hatched out from the first batch didnt look right, it was cobby but otherwise looked like a sumatra. I picked it up and sure enough it has an inbetween comb of a wyandotte and sumatra. I think Coco our SLW mated with a sumatra hen or something. The chick reminds me of a langshan in type, very odd.

I LOVE my Sumatras. I have an extra rooster. I have never had better watch birds over the girls. They walk right past me and never go after us. They just torture the heck out of my favorite boy. The funniest thing is when everyone runs out in the morning and one of the girls hangs back and gets it from my favorite rooster. The Sumatra roosters come running to get him but he gets his lovin in. They are beautiful. I am so glad I got them. I still have to upload the pics of them.
