Sumatra possibly????

Made a mistake visiting the local "chicken guy" this weekend. While in his living room he pointed out the window and said "I'll make you a good deal on those; not sure what they are". My wife - the great wife she is - and helps me take care of the flock (while not understanding why I wanted all those birds in the first place) says "oh, those are pretty".

After perusing his chicken catalogs while visiting, my wife comes across Sumatra's and the "chicken guy" says "ya, that's what the guy said they were, no wonder I couldn't remember that; I do remember he said their tail feathers get long".

The birds are young, can fly really good, & the bottoms of their feet are sorta yellow; for sure some type of game fowl. I just couldn't get them to pose real good.

I had an empty pen, just stocked up on feed, & less than $4/each & local, I just couldn't refuse.

I think yes, Sumatras. You should look here at the FeatherSite to compare them better.

they are, when you breed them breed the longer tailed hens to the best roo you got in the group. there's a thread on here about them also.
