Well cloverleaf, it is a 13 hour drive and we have not yet gone to thier fall show. And the APA semi Annual is a 7 hour drive and it is the same weekend as Stevenson this year. Thanks for your kind compliments. hope some of you are coming to Pacific Poultry Breeders Association show in January.

The same judge placed mine 1st and 3rd the year before....and then this year, placed the same hen he placed as first the previous year--fourth and the one who got 3rd as 3rd again. The year before he gave me a compliment on how nice looking they were, their condition, etc...and they were shown as pullets. After maturing, they were even nicer birds....but maybe he was having an off day?

I need some new blood into my flock....I'm hoping to increase size as that was one thing I know I needed to work on...although they are within the APA standard for size....

Sounds like he was for sure. For a previous winner (and I know you have some beautiful examples) to be beat by a white lober..haha, his mind wasnt on the task at hand obviously. Anywhere else that'd be a DQ
