It's Sunday, which means family dinner......our kids (and grandbaby) come over and I get to make a big dinner(cooking is my love language ).....so that is what made me happy today

We fed our bees and they seem to be doing well! We didn't know what to expect after that bitter cold snap, including a night that got down to -17°F.

Keeping bees is humbling. You think you know what you're doing, but we have learned that bees gonna do what bees gonna do!

I'm allergic to bee venom. Bee keepers get stung. I'm not suicidal.

I know that I don't worry about bees in the garden. I leave them alone, they leave me alone. I'm risk averse, though, and don't see a good reason to take extra chances, especially with the price of an epipen!
