Today I have 24 beautiful eggs in my incubator.....my first attempt at incubation( I have always been fortunate enough in the past to be able to use a broody hen for natural hatching).....

I got to ride my horse today!

Have a pot of chili going on the stove and I finally found a way to deal with the half a can of tomato paste I always have leftover and can never find a timely use for. Just let the girls have at it. They loved it!

You can now buy tomato paste in a tube! Just use what you need, no waste!

What made me happy today, two things: a foggy morning (I don't know why fog lifts my soul it just does.... ah, yes I do. It recalls to me a time in childhood we went camping/ fishing at a lake in Colorado somewhere and early that morning, the fog came rolling in over the lake as Mom was cooking breakfast. It was beautiful, happy morning, and to this day, fog evokes that, feeling those memories, for me.)

Second thing: on our way to Cape today, DH said Look at that! And the field next to us was filled with geese, and the sky sbove them was full of geese too, taking a morning break in a flooded field on their way north to their breeding grounds.
