Sumatra Thread!

Have Kevin and Don not been showing?  I confess I haven't paid much attention to the Sumatras up here in this area beyond there being a few.

In a way the lighter tails. However, there really hasn't been a male pictured on here with the SoP color desired. They should have a tail that is bluish slate and each feather being distinctly laced with black.

Right you are. I've seen some posted that identify a "dark blue roo"- dark blue isn't an established variety, it's a cull.
Thank you....this is good to know if I should choose to breed blues and if
my grandbabies want to show any.

Oh my I should not try and reply on a cell phone! Fmp must be talking about the eastern WA shows or fairs, Kevin and Don are still showing there were 5 or 6 exhibitors with 15 LF total we took two there were 9 or 10 bantams not sure how many exhibitors on those but we took two of those as well. Fun as always and maybe going to head back to the coast in a few weeks for a new breed that I feel in love with :)

10 month old Cockerel weighing in at 4lbs 4oz. SoP calls for a 4lb cockerel so I think he is on the right track. His tail feathering looks a bit dark in the picture but it is a tad-bit lighter with black lacing. will take closer pictures of the tail later..

really how hard can posting be and i cannot seem to get it right Lol!
Don't feel too bad, them touch screens and I don't get along at all. It's so bad that when I finally do take the chip from the camera to develop pictures at WalMart, I have to have the person working in the picture department do it for me.

Good luck with the black minorcas, they are also a very nice looking breed.

Thanks! The phone thing is just that when it comes up I try and scroll up or down and it won't go then goes to much, so I go to move it and I seem to hit the reply button then I try and hit the back button to stop it and... welll it is just one disaster after the other LOL.

I am not surprised. Every one has their own opinions of how a nicely colored blue should look it seems. Some people like the powder puff colored blues with no lacing, some like the super dark ones with good lacing, and others like powder puff Blues with good lacing. I honestly don't like the color of my blues yet, still working on it.
