My show schedule is crazy I have shows April 26th, May 3rd, May 17th, May 31st, June 29th, and July 12th as of right now! The big show is May 17th so I'm excited yet stressed lol.

whoa! Now that is a crazy schedule! It reminds me of when I was showing horses, sheep, goats, and chickens back when I was younger. Good luck to you, and have lots of fun.

So.........today has been a very wet day here......times it
rained so hard and fast that the roads were flooding. The
birds are going to have a hard time finding dry dirt for a dust
bath and since they track that mud to inside the coop it will
make for some mud on eggs despite lots of hay in the boxes  :he

I hope it dries up for you soon. It finally started raining today after being dry too long. Im glad I dont have to water the lawn/garden just this once.

I don't mind the rain.....enjoy it actually....but it does make for
a bit too much water when it pours so hard that it can't soak
into the ground......and then there is the mud tracked in everywhere
by the flock.........guess they are just adding to an exercise program
for me.....no gym needed.

I love the pics!  I know mine, being a hatchery bird, likely won't be as pretty but I look forward to having one to share!

We started out with ordering birds from a hatchery a little over 10 years ago and fell in love with chicks the Sumatra was my favorite and each of the kids had something they fell in love with it doesn't matter if you show or not they are just so nice to have around its the joy that they bring that's important. Good luck with your Sumatra!

thanks everyone, Sussex is in New Jersey and I cut back on my showing of Rabbits and Goats to do more poultry shows but i enjoy showing all my animals because I enjoy hearing the positive and negative comments from the judges and working hard and seeing the effort pay off.

Today started out wet and COLD.......in the mid 30s cold.
Was a rude awakening after several days in the 70s for
highs and 50s for lows. It's amazing how quickly a body
gets use to those warm temps. I just hope it gets back to
some warm weather but not hot....at least not every day.
