I don't have the Dun (Black Sumatra), but I do have the Blue Sumatra which has black skin, meat, and bones

Very impressed with this breed so far. My rooster fought a hawk today to protect his hens. 4 months free-ranging with zero fatalities. Active and intelligent breed

Hi everyone! Some time ago I created a thread about Sumatra x Brahma crosses because I'm interested in seeing some photos, in case someone have this type of crosses. I'd like to incorporate this type of bird in a future project and I'm just curious to see how they turn out. Since there were no answers, I was suggested to ask here.

I had maybe 30 chicks hatch this last spring and three of those were Brahma x Sumatra. They were my only blue colored chicks. Unfortunately I think it was that color that got them taken out by predators

My first flock about 20 years ago was Black Sumatras that a neighbor gave me. They discovered a hoard of chicks that had been hatched on the sly and gave me some. They liked to roost in very high places.
