Sumatra Thread!

Is the hen dun or is it just the lighting? The rooster should darken up some. I don't think I've ever seen a sumatra with such a bright red face like that though
It's the lighting. I'll post some much better photos very soon. I just wanted to get as much of the form of the bird as possible. They are actually both very black, so I think it's the light I have in the barn, and the flash.

Oh, and the roo has been in a building all his life, and combined with the camera flash, that made him look really red. But thanks for pointing out possible defects.

I'll check up on them, and take some more pics.

the roosters tail should be parallel to the ground and the hens should be 15 degrees above parallel in LFs I don't know if its the same for bantams or not and the pullet looks like a dark dun to me also FMP

On the roosters face, my black roo has been outta the sun since early June and is no where near that red, so it should be neat to see how dark he gets with the sun (if you wont mind posting pictures later on of him

) Good luck in your showing

Yup, I'll post some more pics tomorrow! Hopefully, they were just tired. After all, I bought them today, so they were stressed.

I Just came back from the Safford show I did really well I won open champion AOSB with my black sumatra cockerel
here is a photo of him.

Nice rooster! He looks like mine.

His tail is very full, which I love in a bantam Sumatra. Where did you get this boy from?
