Hi, i only set the eggs the other day so I've not candled them yet. But i also have another clutch of Sumatra's at a friends and 8 of the eggs are fertile.

My Dad is getting married whilst were over, I don't know weather to be happy excited or down about it. But we are going to do some fun things like, build a coop, do a bit of shooting, and spend some time with the family.

What will you people be up to?

And to all of you, lets set our opinions aside and stop ranting on. its boring to read.

Glad to hear that some of your eggs are growing, I hope the rest do well for you as well. My parents are still happily married, so I can't even start to guess how you are feeling, but I hope it works out for the best and that you and your brother have fun.

I have been slowly working on some chicken projects that I have going on and getting ready for the kids to go back to school. I CAN"T wait for the first day of school

, even thought the first week or two can be a little bit rough.

Did I say that in order to be a good sumatra breeder or have good advice you have to be in the sumatra club... NO I did not all I was saying was that there is good information on there that is helpfu and ture.... And douge akers was probably talkingbout the weight infnityhrt had asked about what he ment and someone had just said that it was the weight and size he was talking about... But I think you should be asking doug what he ment instead of coming up with conclusions and I am also talking about my self just to let you know. I could be wrong but we will see.

I didn't ask what he meant, you were going on and on like you always do, and about what they said on showbirdbid site and I said to ask him, because I didn't interpret it to mean to breed them larger than the standard said, it said as large as possible so that would be 6 pounds, but then I said maybe ask him, because you can't seem to be able to read what people are saying and that if we all don't agree with you then we are all wrong. and I did post on that site asking him what he means yesterday, so guess we shall wait and see. I just don't get how you can say that weight isn't important, when it says its a disqualification if they are more than 20% over which is 4.8 pounds for a hen and 6 pounds for a male, but I am not going to keep doing this with you because you don't get it... weight is a DQ just like a wrong comb, white feathers in the wing but you can believe whatever you want, that's whats great about America, just because we don't agree with it, well we are entitled to our opinion too.

This where the 6 pound limit was mentioned and she is talking about 20% OVER the SOP.
Cocks should be 5 pounds but NO MORE than 6 pounds. She has said this many times before.

You said at first males should be at 5 lbs and hens at 4lbs now you are changing it saying the males should be at six? Just a observation.
OH MY!! You just don't get it!!!! The standard says they should be 5 and the hens should be 4 but they can be within 20% of that which is no more than 6 pounds for a male and 4.8 pounds for a hen. I don't think you read what people say, I don't know how many more times I have to say it. I don't change what I say, you do. Just an observation! You have a great way of twisting things around and trying to make it like we don't know what we say, but I don't think you are reading what we say and twisting it to what you think we say. Sorry not trying to be mean but getting frustrated that you bring up things and it has nothing to do with what we say

I'm excited about the hatch.

I actually don't mind to much about the divorce, I feel it's made me twice the person.

We fly at 8:00 tonight so, I have time to get ready. It will be nice to see my Grandpa, he has some black red oxford type Oeg, and a few Sumatra's I gave him. He also has red saddled yokohamas, he has had chicken all his life.
The one nice thing about being here in Ireland is I'm not shadowed by my family's pride or rep. Over here I'm my own person and I can build my own reputation.

I am not looking forward to school, because my chicks will be about a week and a bit old, so I wont want to leave them.

Any way i've got to go, catch you guys/girls later.
