This was a school project we have to do
we were divided into groups (I hate to admit it, but my group is lazy) WE (as a group) had to write a story and turn it in. My teammates never showed up so it was up to me to brainstorm and come up with a story. I didn't finish it since it had to be really long and I couldn't do it by myself in 30 minutes. This is a huge project since school is almost over.
The project is divided into 3 parts:
-A poster of the story
-Summary of the story (this summary)
and
-We have to act a scene out of the story.
We've been working on this project since Monday and we're already almost done because the poster is the last thing we have to do (which is due tomorrow). I've done all the work lately! yesterday at school I said that I was going to finish writing the story because we got a 64 and if we finish it the teacher said she would give us a 100 so I made them do the poster
which is turning out crappy, but at least they did something!
What the project is all about:
-We had to re-write the play of Shakespeare "Julius Caesar"
So this is my story- (if you find any grammatical errors or something that must be fixed please let me know)
Conflicts Destroy Everything
There was this one day when John and Lee were at the park playing soccer and Lee's enemy (Chris) shows up and starts talking to Julie, John's girlfriend. Lee tells John that he should watch the people that Julie hangs out with especially with Chris because you never know what they might do. John and Lee start to argue because John said that Julie knows how to take care of herself. While they're still arguing this person walks by and gives John a letter which said "Conflicts destroy everything". Lee can't stand looking at Chris anymore so he tries to convince John and his crew to beat him up by saying lies about him and other stuff they really dislike. John and his crew finally agree and start to to make a plan to get Chris without anybody noticing. Julie whispers to John saying that this wasn't a great idea because stuff like this always turns out really bad. Lee, John and his crew go to celebrate while Chris's brother (Junior) walks by and notices that Lee's backpack is open. He looks through Lee's backpack just for curiosity and finds the paper where they were making their plan to beat up Chris. He runs desperately to find Chris and when he finds him, he doesn't pay much attention to him because he's busy doing other things. The next day when Chris gets home from school he notices that John is standing in front of his house waiting for him. As he gets closer to greet John, Lee and the crew came out of a bush and started to jump him (including John). John pulls out a knife from his pocket and instead of stabbing Chris he accidentally stabs Lee. Lee unfortunately dies and John feels so guilty over Lee's death that he turns himself into the police. John faces the consequences and is convicted to life imprisonment. A few months later, Julie get's over all this drama and finally decides to to go visit John at prison. John is very excited to see her, but all she told him was "Conflicts Destroy Everything".

About Julius Caesar- (just the main points, not the whole summary)
There was this guy named Julius Caesar that was going to be killed on the ides* of March. A Soothsayer* told him "Beware the ides of March" but he pays no attention to it. There was this other guy named Cassius which really disliked Caesar so he tried to convince this person, which would do anything for the good of Rome, named Brutus to kill Caesar. He finally convinces him and they start a group to kill Caesar. Caesar's wife has a dream of him getting killed by a group of men, but again he pays no attention. The conspirators* make a plan to kill Caesar and a friend of Caesar (Artemidorus) finds about the plan. Next morning Caesar's wife tries to convince him not to go to the capitol* because she was afraid that he might get killed and she fails at it. On the way to the Capitol the conspirators were with him (which was part of the plan they had) Artemidorus tries to tell Caesar to get away from the conspirators, but he ignores him. Caesar ends up being killed by the conspirators.

Ides- the 15th day of each month.
Soothsayer- forecaster: someone who makes predictions of the future (usually on the basis of special knowledge)
Conspirators- The group that Brutus and Cassius formed.
QUESTION
Does my story kind of remind you of "Julius Caesar"?
