Summer lunch

I occasionally like a grilled cheese sandwich with nice ripe garden tomatoes and sharp cheddar cheese. A good BLT is hard to beat, but so is a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich.

Am I in a rut? Every day for lunch it's a BLT with garden fresh tomatoes. Bibb lettuce, bacon from the Amish.

Ya know what? If I'm in a rut, I don't care. It tastes so very good.

If this is called at rut.. call me a rut nut!

I eat everything - well almost everything - can't handle olives. Why don't I like avocados ?

Hmm, I don't understand why you don't like them. If they're being use/eaten savory I think they need salt & a splash of an acid - lime, lemon, vinegar. I grew up filling the pit cavity with Caesar dressing & eating with a spoon. I even make ice cream with them. I know lots of folks make chocolate mousse with them, but I'm not big on chocolate. On the other hand, I've never met an olive I don't like.

That sounds like a perfect lunch to me. Especially if the bread is sour dough.
