It's been fun watching this swap being filled. I suggest we have a joint celebration across the world. Any suggestions? A glass of beer or wine springs to mind or, being British, a nice cup of tea perhaps with an American muffin?

Hello quilting friends, I have been busy I bought a treadle sewing machine and have been getting it ready to sew and it pieces beautifully.

Now I have a question for you all, I found a block pattern that I like. Called wild duck, I have cut it two different ways, the original and then an applique add on. What do you think? Stay with the original or be very poultry oriented?

A I'm for a tea and cookie toast at the finish good idea!

Your treadle looks beautiful- love the lacy look. Chicken add-ons are always a plus in my book! I've cut a few pieces to see how the fan pattern will look with fabrics that make me think of summer. We'll see how it looks pieced before continuing.

Rustyhen, your treadel looks beautiful and both your blocks are very pretty, so I'd flip a coin to see who wins.

Majack I'm with you since this is an international group a cup of tea with a muffin. I will forgo the coffee.

That is a beautiful machine! I need to get my mother on laws out and fix it up. I also have a 221 that needs a motor. I have to get my hubby busy.

Are there any international favorites that we could all make an effort to obtain/make? I LOVE hot tea with cream and sugar and that sounds like a winner to me but what to have with it? And on what date?

That sounds like a good idea, we should all pick a date and time that would hopefully be convenient to everyone or most everyone and sign on at the same time and have a cup of tea or something. BYC needs to have meeting rooms available. We will have to figure in the time differences too.

We could have a Cornish tea. That is scones with strawberry jam (jelly) and thick cream. I don't think you would be able to get Cornish clotted cream in the US or SA though. In fact, those of you in hot climes might not be able to get cream at all. I know its too hot in Australia for cream cakes.

Well if we made the cream we'd have to eat it fast or find a big freezer to stand in.

you need to send a recipe for scones.
