Well that makes since seen as the wyandotte was a rehome when he was about 7mos. so I never saw him as a chick, hope this one is a hen, and my other hens I'm hoping the RIR will take some for himself.
I have a RiR hen I am letting her sit on one egg as I don't really need any new babies, but I did set 4 eggs in the incubator, as soon as the young flock is old enough I will sell the roos out of that batch. and then I have the 3 from the bannie, the one from the RIR and my 4 in the incubator, why are chickens like potato chips you just can't have one. I have 22 birds and two turkeys that free range all day and I don't even lock their pen anymore, and they have their roost outside so half don't even go into the pen anymore, gettting ready to build another coop in a better spot and then maybe they will go in easier. Their pen just has gotten flooded so many times I'm waiting for it to dry out so they really don't go sloshing in the mess to get to the hen house. I know I have been lucky as far as predators but have not had any and they have been doing this for over a year now..
