Summer Quilt block swap - We use similar colors, but each pick a different block

What is this SASS?
I've been to a couple of historical re-enactments, but haven't been able to really get into it, since I live so far away from everything.

Very pretty dress!

SASS is the Single Action Shooting Society. also known as Cowboy Action Shooting. You shoot single action guns - you have to cock it every time you want to pull the trigger, and you shoot them as fast as you can and still hit the target. Timed events.
Everyone has an alias that they shoot under. And alot of people dress the part. It looks like alot of fun and everyone that I know who does it is really gangbusters to get new people to join. I am trying to save up for a pair of pistols.

Can't wait to see how everyones squares turn out! and yes, I am lurking...

I've finished and am ready to send them off!! I cannot wait to see all of these. My goal this school year is to get the top sewn and then spend the evenings hand quilting together. No lesson planning or grading papers at home. (Ask me how that is going after the 3rd week of school! lol.)

Shamblescross,

You're dress is amazing! I love it. Did you get married in the summer in it? It looks heavy and hot. Did you create your own pattern? It's a beautiful dress. Great job!

Wyo: The SASS sounds interesting. So I assume you know how to shoot proficiently? That's quite a talent. I hunt, and enjoy shooting, but I am not a sharpshooter.
Abby: Yes, we got married on July 4th in Gettysburg. It was enormously hot. The ceremony was in the morning, so that wasn't too bad, but I wanted to spend the rest of the day joining in the festivities in costume. I ended up taking out the undersleeves, and the other ladies in hoop skirts showed me how to swing the skirt a bit more to get a little breeze going.
I thought we were doing 12 blocks....
I would like to hear from nheimberg..... I sent my blocks out a couple of weeks ago. Maybe she is just collecting the blocks for herself and is going to make a giant quilt!

Just to be sure, I made 15 quilt blocks. Is that the right amount?

15? Really? I still only have nine down. I can't find my R cutter. I'm tired, I have everything I need to get them done but I'm so tired of working. The other day I had about 20 minutes and when I went to work on the last 3 I thought, I can't find my cutter.

It's not where I always put it. I guess I need to go to the fabric shop and get another one. I need a nap.

Are we to make 12 or 15? Thanks
