Summer reading ideas or maybe a BYC book club.

Ordered it.
I was wondering when you would have to go back to work.

Just finished a weird book, Leave the World Behind.
Part of it was about this loud mysterious noise, with doomsday ramifications.
While reading it today there was an explosion in the scrapyard 1/2 mile away....
....freaked me out! :gig Life imitating art.
That story reminds me of one my husband tells about his childhood. He was about 6 and a tornado was approaching the area. His dad told him to come inside and watch a movie (The Omen). Doors were sucking in on screen and in real life and he says it is the scariest movie he's seen to this day. Talk about imperfect parenting as discussed on the Mary Jane thread LOL.

On chapter 2 of The Tattooist is Auschwitz. Really good so far. I report for meetings starting tomorrow, so I bet I finish books much more slowly in the near future.

Finished. Great book!
Read it, it was pretty good.
Overall kinda weak , then read that it was originally written as a screen play which I found interesting and think answered my questioning of the overall structure.

@Sooner Magnolia have you seen this one?
The Grace Year by Kim Ligget?

"The things we do to young girls."
This book rocked me.
Mix of Handmaid’s Tale and Hunger Games.
Girls version of Lord of the flies.
