I almost did a impulsive thing last night, I saw the most perfect eggs on ebay.

$72 dollars was the final bid between the two people that were bidding (bid was for 12+ eggs).

These eggs were "7" and "8"s (on the marans color scale), the parents were show champions, bloodline was Wade Jean and Bev Davis.

I need to stick with my plan, I will be getting either pure Little Peddler eggs in the near future.
I am collecting some of my own eggs to pop into the incubator in the next couple days.... what can I say, I am in the hatching mood

lol i want to hatch some eggs this spring when the EE's start laying and we got are Frizzle Polish Roo I plan on hatching those and Dorking mixes and Leghorn mixes and RIR mixes and other mixes!

That is Awesome, Summer! Hope your hatching plans go well.

I will probably only be hatching around 70 more chicks this year, I have close to 20 eggs waiting to be put into the incubator this week, all are Black Copper Marans.


I can post a bit about it everyone once in a while if anyone is interested in how the hatch goes (I'm doing a test of the fertility from my newer cockerel).

shoot Lacie I want some BCM chicks tell me when you plan to hatch them b/c I want one soooo bad and hey Lacie can you ship eggs or chicks it really isn't that far away but if you can PLZ! PLZ!!! PLZ!!!!! let me know

I have never shipped before but would imagine it would not be too bad of a distance for them.
I will look into it, from what I understand the chicks need to be feathered so they can handled a trip when they are a smaller amount in the box.

I most defiantly could do the eggs

. Do you have a incubator or would the timing depend upon a broody?

umm if possible i'd love chicks but if any of my hens decide to go broody i'll let yo know and if not and we get an incubator and i'll let you know then

LOL, I can figure it out. I was just curious.

But basically I just need to do some reading and perhaps some shopping around for the supplies I would need to ship some chickies.
