PM me your e-mail adress again and I'll make sure you get the weekly newsletter (if you didn't).

The lamb is a go, though. Picking it up Thursday night in Sandy, OR from our lovely butcher. I'm taking him a gallon of cider, too, so I'll not want to be the meat order he cuts AFTER he drinks it.

One night, we had the Apple Cider Blues Band going in my living room... which consisted of 3 poorly tuned guitars, some kind of casio synthesizer (drum beats 4TW) and a mandolin. It's all a bit hazy, rather like my head was the following day. I remember seeing my neighbor the next morning and he looked at me and said "Last night, did we..." I interruped him and said "Yup... Yup, I think we did." Awkward.

Of course, the first rule of the ACBB was that noone talks about the ACBB. So, I may have just gotten myself banned.

Wow congratulate you! I am not sure Im going to be able to process my meat birds. Weak stomach.

Can we use the meat birds for eggs any how instead of eating them?

Meat birds usually won't live much longer than a year. Some won't even make it to laying age. They just grow much too big too fast. Often they die from stress or heart attacks. Their organs just can't keep up.

Some people have managed to keep a few alive but that is not the norm at all.

Can I wait until they die on their own to process them or is that not good?
