Sunny is very quiet...

Very informative and it does sound like something Sunny is showing to Pet Duck Boy!

Not sure how gapeworm can be treated....

"Available drugs remove only the adult parasite. The immature form probably produces the most severe damage. The treatment of choice is piperazine. Many forms of piperazine are produced, and all are effective if administered properly. Piperazine is only effective for treating this parasite. It has no effect on other internal parasites of fowl. Follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully."

^That info I found for chickens, though

So I would need 2 treament meds? One for the adult worms and the other for the imature worms?

Lou Horton writes: The common earthworm is an intermediate host for Gapeworms and should not be something intentionally fed to waterfowl. Another effective treatment that also destroys any external parasites is Ivomec (it is an injectable swine wormer) given orally- three drops down the throat. Treatment with Ivomec should be repeated in three days. Ivomec will not be effective against Tape Worms. Use a product called Dronit for Tape Worms.

I think you should definitely try Ivermectin. You can get it for under $10 a syringe at a local feed store or Tractor Supply.

We wormed our ducks 2 weeks ago. What we did it we bought the off brand (it was about $3 or $4 for the whole syringe). We found an eye dropper and a container laying around, washed it out, and added a BB size drop of the horse wormer into 3 tablespoons of water in the container. We shook the container until the Ivermectin was well mixed. We gave our ducks 4 drops each.

Not sure how often you would have to worm her, I would think daily until all signs of the gapeworms are gone. Also, wormer will kill the good bacteria in her gut, so offer her some yogurt or ProBios 2 hours after the wormer was given.

If you give Sunny the Ivermectin, DO NOT eat the eggs or give the eggs to her. We had to wait 10 days after worming our flock until we could start using the eggs again.

Hope this helps!

I'm working on trying to get the right info to you. I know you must be going nuts!

I'm not sure of the difference between Ivomec and Ivermectin. Maybe someone else will pipe up.

Go to a local feed store and ask for wormer for chickens and ducks. It's not terribly expensive and you can mix it into the drinking water or into her food.
