i have a group of 3 week old chicks that havent been doing to well (i lost over half over the three weeks, am down to just 20)

a neighbour has advised me to put the chicks outside in the sun as it will perk them up.....its about 20 degrees out there so quite warm...

will they be ok out there if i bring them in at night?

68 F is a perfect day for chicks to have a brief outdoor recess.

If this is the firt time outdoors I would make sure they have a little shelter to go under if the sun gets a bit too much for them. They will also be a little scared of the big wide world so the shelter will serve a dual purpose, providing them a place to hide.

Hope they perk up.
