One of my pullets was behaving weirdly the other day, shoulders all hunched, kinda squatted down in the grass, right after I let them all out to free-range. I watched her for a while, wondering what was going on. Then she squats lower and pops out this:

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? It's 2 shell-less eggs attached by a duct. I took them indoors, broke the membranes and cooked up the eggs. They were delicious and seemed normal!

I'm always fascinated!

Ohh that's a new one! I haven't seen that before. I wouldn't worry since she's a new layer. Hopefully just working out the kinks... but man, what a kink!

Were there yolks inside?
Yep! On the griddle, they looked perfectly normal!

And she's been laying before and since then just regular eggs. Just a one-off.
