super scared ducks

Today one of mine went to the vet, he was in his tote in the front seat. I pulled into the gas station on the way home. He started quacking, and I said, "we need gas or we won't make it home"
He stopped quacking. I got out of the car and laughed out loud thinking, why am I talking to a Duck??

I always talk to my duckies! They distinguish between me and my wife, i'm the human cleaning their premises, she's the human with the treats. Perfect duck world!
But seriously, our ducks know my voice, when i had to hand over our Limpy to the vet he started chirping desperately but calmed down when i talked to him. On the way back home the sheriff stopped at the red light at my passenger side and was very surprised to see a duck measuring him up…

My Runner back their butts up to what ever they are laying next too so the can get a good shot. House, wall etc. They love to have their bottoms right touching what ever they are laying next too. I have vinyl up along the walls in my Runner house so it's easy to clean
