I'm sorry for your loss. It may very well have been something that was out of anyone's hands and no ones fault. Sometimes things just happen. I always try to save them, sometimes you get lucky, but sometimes there just isn't anything you can do. It's always sad when it's one of the little ones.

I always try and save them too and do everything I can. He was a lot smaller than even the ones that hatched after him and another chick with the same bio mom and dad is doing great and was really big by this time so maybe it was something inside nobody saw coming like you said.
