That does not look like Danny's work. I'm betting someone else decided to give it a go. That is ridiculous and unacceptable.

Call him and tell him what happened. He needs feedback when eggs don't make it through the mail.

I agree - that packing job is absurd.

It really doesn't make Superior Farms look too good.

I've only received hatching eggs once - each one was bubble wrapped, then in a box with bubble wrap, then that box was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in another box. Not a single egg broken.

I can't imagine ever sending eggs in a carton with some toilet paper. I thought Superior Farms was supposed to be run by real honest to goodness serious poultry people????

OMG! That is NOT good! I can see using the toliet paper to wrap the egg in it and then bubble wrap it, that would have been fine. But with itself, nada!

We better pay close attention to this forum how folks get their eggs in the mail.

I wanted to order some hatching eggs later this fall but the way it looks, if more folks are getting the same thing, I wont order until they get their packing stuff straightened out.

I only had eyes for the single-combed Rhode Island Reds. BUT, I do think they were the next pen over. They were actually a little larger than the single combed variety, and just as dark. Bright yellow legs. The comb on the male was very, very large. I didn't get a good look at the hens in the pen.

I wish I could tell you more, but I just don't remember that much about them?? I have no idea where he could have gotten them, but I'm sure it's from up North somewhere. Rosecombed RIRs would be a VERY rare commodity in Oklahoma.

Thank you for the info. on the rose-combed Rhode Island Reds.It would have been very nice to have got the Red Dorkings.I got to thinking the rose comb is better in the winter months and I like the color of the Rhode Island Reds to.Danny was very nice also to let me change my order.

Danny has been exceptionally nice to me by e-mail as he knows I can't place orders over the phone. I sent him off an e-mail this morning when I got the eggs unpacked. Haven't heard a reply from him yet.

I know where I could pick up a job very easy packing eggs for Superior!! lol

OK is just alittle too far from WV to travel to work!!
