Im not suggesting it is impossible here, just highly unlikely.
Without knowing the conditions absolutely under which the eggs were produced, I am forced to generalize here on the truth of the matter. Everything else is left to chance. I know that makes me sound like a wet blanket, but hey, so be it. People win the lottery, too, but you should know the odds before you buy your ticket...
Maybe you have visited the site where the eggs originate, and DO know for a fact that cocks and hens are kept together. If that were so, though, Id expect to see the word 'fertilized' somewhere? I mean most people, even organic heads, don't relish eating fertilized eggs. Seeing a little embryo looking back at you from the pan isn't on most people's list of highlights. Egg producers know this little fact. Im just sayin'...
Hatching store bought eggs has been done. Under what conditions I dont know. And it will be done again, somewhere along the line. Maybe it will be by you. I hope so.
Then you can stick your tongue out at me and say, "See?!"
PS Something came to mind as I read this. If you DO hatch some out, don't tell the producers. Selling hatching eggs at eating egg prices won't last for long.
