Uh, a trip to the feed store and I brought these two little ones home-- they were advertised as mille fleurs, but they don't seem to be the right color... What are they? They are tiny and have feathered feet. I was really wanting mille fleurs... Any chance they actually are ???

They have more yellow and less black in them than any of the Mille Fleur chicks that I have either had or seen. Anyone else out there know?

Mille Fleur is a (color), not a breed. There are quite a few Bantam breeds that are bred in Mille Fleur. They could be d'uccle or Bearded Belgian d'anvers bantams in Mille Fleur. How many toes do they have?

Does any breed in Mille Fleur start out with chicks these colors, though? They loos very different than any Mille Fleur chicks I have seen (but I have only seen the d'Uccles).

The one looks like a Cochin to me but again I'm not that familiar so can't say for sure!

The black and yellow could be a mottled cochin? The chick pattern looks like mottled birds I've had, and that's the first feather footed mottled bantam that comes to mind. I don't do much with bantams, though.

That's the one I was thinking was the Cochin, I have a beautiful pair of molted Cochins that are about 13 weeks, here is a pic, sorry had to show them!
