The australorp and Orpington seem ok so far. The australorp is the lead and the Orpington has submitted peacefully. I hope that's not a problem.

I’ve had flocks with much “worse” ratios that worked out great. 3 to 28 is actually pretty close to the recommended ratio of 1 rooster to every 10 hens (which is usually overkill anyway).

So I do have a few pictures of my straight run Americanas... I got them June 4th. Any idea if I got a male or two?

I added a picture or two of the barred rock I got from a pullet bin, but I have some suspicions there too.

My kids wanted me to show all 4 Americauna chicks because they really think Baloo is a roo

They're a bit young to know if they'll be good together, so you'll just have to give it some time.
