They shipped as 1 day chicks from Meyer Hatchery on August 8th 2022. The one that dosen't seem to fit with what I ordered is supposed to be a silver penciled plymouth rock pullet, but I'm thinking it's a cockerel and the color is off... what do you think?

Sorry hard to get them apart for photos. It's the one on the right in these photos.

Just wanted to make you aware,,, that even the experts are not 100% correct on gender. Some estimates are 93%, and other estimates are 80%.
Sex link chickens are a different story.
Beautiful bird also. :love But I am leaning towards cockerel with those red wattles, and comb.
I can be wrong:idunno

Thanks for your thoughts and the warm welcome. This is my most adventurous chicken and darn cute too.

I feel bad. I can't keep roos where I live and with that cross beak I'm not sure I feel like it would be ok to try to rehome him even though he is a more rare color variation.

I'll reach out to the Hatchery and see what they think. They were great about refunding me for another chick that has a much more severe cross beak.

This is my first batch of chickens (I got 4 of them) and it's already been quite the adventure and a bit of a learning curve. This forum has been very helpful.

Thanks!
