Sure, I can help, but I don't work here!

I used to work at PetSmart. Once, I went to visit my mom after work, but realized I forgot to buy something I needed. So, I stopped at the once by her. I know I was asking for it, still wearing my shirt, but I spent and extra 2 hours helping people!! No joke!!

Meanwhile, the employees kept walking by, wondering who the in the h*ll I was. I love that not one of them came over. And the customer service in me just wouldn't let me say "I'm off the clock"... grrr...

You are a good person!

I used to travel quite a bit for work. Once, when my husband was traveling with me, we were reading our itinerary trying to decide where we needed to go, when a couple of women walked up to my husband and asked for assistance with gate information. He was confused but directed them toward the overhead monitor. We then realized he was wearing a light blue dress shirt (similar to Delta airline staff uniforms at the time) and have laughed over that one for a long time. For some reason, he has never worn the shirt again while traveling.

I often have folks, usually women, ask me if I know where such and such is in Wal-Mart. Thing is, I'm in street clothes or scrubs! I've been told I just look like I know the store. And I do, like the back of my hand, until they up and MOVE things for no good reason! Torks me off, man. Just last week, bent down to grab my box of raisins, and they weren't there. Finally found them two aisles away, at the opposite end.

Nitrous, where are you when I'm shopping by myself? I'm appropriating other women's men to reach things for me, and that feels weird. But it's not quite worth taking my honey or ds, lol.
