And yesterday I got 2 eggs! One of the standard games laid her first, not a bad size either! Perfectly shaped too! I can't wait to see what the 3 pound hen lays, after seeing what the 2 pound one managed.

It was funny, I wanted another egg for the sandwhich I was going to make, so I head out back since it was Chipmunk's day to lay. Well she wasn't on the nest! Instead it was one of the bigger game hens. So I lifted her up, and it was Chipmunk's egg! So I took it, and made my lunch. Went back out later, and Chipmunk was on the nest, sitting on the game's egg. Silly birds!

I have a small flock (4) of very small bantams: the biggest one weighs only around 650 grams. But the little eggs they give us are very tasty, and a perfect amount for our small family of three. We just enjoyed our weekly egg breakfast; it was delicious.
