SURPRISE !! We're 3 days early !!

My RIR has been sitting on 4 eggs, they weren't due for another 3 days, but here they are !!! I'm so excited. She was sitting on 3 RIR eggs and 1 SLW egg , dad is a Plymouth Rock. Aren't they the cutest things ever ! I'll take better pics later, she chased me away, I'll let her bond
she laid the huge egg afterwords.

Yeah ! I had 19 but were either given to me or I bought at feed store. Baby Girl went broody, so I put 4 eggs under her. I wasn't expecting them so early though !

Isn't it the sweetest when you first see them. My Bella was so excited about her eggs she stood up every time I went in to show me them. Four have hatched so far and she still stands up and shows me them when I go in to check on her. She has 3 blue and 1 red so far. Expecting 6 more to hatch. She is a Silkie and daddy is to.

I have 6 silkies, 5-5 month old, 3 pullets, 2 cockerels, and the 4/5 week isn't old enough to tell yet, looks more girl than boy though, named her Lucy, hope its not a Luke . Bough her 3 weeks ago as a polish hen, another surprise it's a silkie !! I would love to see pics

Keep an eye out being first time be ready to grab them if she decides to get rid of them
but usually does not happen till they are large enough to be on be their own
