surprising visit

You'll need to set them up with their own run and house because even though geese will tolerate other poultry not in close quarters. or not here anyway. No way could I lock up my 4 geese inside with my ducks or chickens, Just be thankful breeding season is over. Such a shame the one got taken but very happy your going to adopt them. They sound lovely and yes please post some pics. If your not where the winters are real harsh you might could get by with an open air coop, I can get you pics.

Good news!! The fourth one has been found!!! Right now they're in my backyard, all four of them! With their private swimming pool. I'm working on getting an enclosure built but for now they're safe.
I'm trying to get pictures posted but I'm on my phone and having some problems. I would greatly appreciate any open air pen plans. I live in Deep South Texas and rarely does it get to the 30s in the winter.

Open-air will be good for them- I don't have any plans, but have you checked here? https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/2/Coops

Hi, this is what I've built for my guineas and one for my geese. The guineas have an 8 ft wide x 20 ft long x 8 ft high. The geese have a 8 ft wide x 10 ft long

x 6ft high. I will be extending the geese coup in Oct, another 10 ft.when it cools down. I considering putting their pool in the coop too. I live in Northern Florida. Both are open air coops. The geese coop has 1/2 hardware cloth, so nothing can get in. This is my own design. I build what fits me. I'm only 5' and 100 lbs, and 75 yrs.old. So I think carefully, measure 3 xs and cut once. If I can be of any help, just pm me. Anyone, can do this simple plan. All the wood is treated (lot of bugs in Fl). Mostly 2x4's, 2x6's for ridge beam and 4x4's for posts in the ground that hold the ridge beam up. The corner posts are not in the ground. The tarp on the roof is a truckers tarp. It is heavy and has lasted 5 yrs on the guinea coop. I just replaced it last month. The fabric on all sides is a heavy construction fabric that can breathe
It's used to keep weeds down when their building roads. I attach the fabric to a 1 1/4" PVC with screws and washers and roll it up or down depending on the weather. I also put PVC end caps on the end of the PVC, so nothing can build a nest. All the 1/2" hardware cloth is screwed on with washers. I don't like the way the door came out and I'll take it apart in Oct. As you can see, I work with 3 ladders and bungie cords or anything that will hold up what ever needs holding. The sides on this coop are 5 ft. and then the ridge beam (roof) is 6 ft. It can be adjusted to any length. I stained all the wood before I cut.

keep weeds down in the road.
