Cyan grinned at the sight of Mystery's horrified expression, then tightened his jaws further around Dixie's throat till air was inaccessible for the she-dog. He grinned down at her with his poisonous blue eyes, and, a low, malicious chuckle emanated from his clenched jaws.

Hearing Cerise's command, he obliged, seeing as how Dixie's body had gone limp by now. He grinned up at Cerise with a blood spattered muzzle and howled to proclaim her death, his note of triumph clearly saying that Dixie was dead. Now his murderous blue eyes rested on Cerise as he started up after her. He no longer felt sorrowful; having tasted Dixie's blood, he was hungry for more!

Celeste wanted so badly to help Mystery, but in the fight, he had quickly been slapped away. Now he was wobbly on his legs, unaccustomed to fighting. He ran at Teal and made a fervent attempt to bite the blue eyed mutt.

"Hmm?" Taz asked, plucking a flea out of his tail and spitting it out.
 
Cerise's eyes fell on Dixie, and then moved to Cyan. She frowned, and her heart ached. Her sorrow was clear in her gaze. "I'm... so sorry..." she uttered, but it was unclear whether she was talking to Dixie or to Cyan. And then, her expression hardened, and she took on a defensive stance. She had not gotten her position as Alpha by being a weak little flower, and Cyan was about to learn this. She snarled, lunging at the white dog with her jaws snapping.


Teal involuntarily whimpered as another set of jaws sank into his side. Kicking Mystery away, he broke himself free of Celeste's bite and glared between the two dogs. "I never thought of you as the cheating kind, dear Viridian," Teal said mockingly to his brother.

Mystery's heart sank. "Celeste, get to safety. This is my battle," he said, offering a smile in the hopes that the younger male would not be offended.

Teal waited just a moment longer, then lunged, taking Mystery by surprise again. The brothers continued to clash, each swipe of the paw met by another, each ferocious bite met by the same. Mystery did his best to keep his mind off of Dixie, whose fate he had not yet noticed in the heat of battle, but he could tell that his internal struggle was causing him to slip. Teal was overpowering, and had such skill, the likes of which Mystery didn't know how he ever obtained. It was frightening.
 
Cyan grinned at her as he dodged her leap, twirling slightly and landing behind her. "Ahem," he faked a cough, pretending to get her attention. He no longer felt sorry about what he was doing; after all, she deserved it! He leaped at her and snarled in anger as he did so.

Celeste had figured Mystery would say that and he quickly loped away, though he didn't want to leave his friend out there to face that demonic blue eyed dog alone.

Taz smiled, his body shaking from his wagging tail. He licked her all over, eyes shining.
