Quote: "Yeah, but not soon enough." Harli chuckled, licking his cheek.
Jargo sighed happily. It was so odd, how completely different he was... Maybe he'd never really been evil at heart... Maybe...
(*Snort!* Well that ain't true. XD Lol!)

Harli got up, and spread the blanket out in the den. Then, she nosed a roll and a piece of chicken on each end.
(Hey! :p You don't know his full story! LOL! But he's gotta be evil, there's no way he isn't!)

Jargo smiled at her. (XP So plain...)
(Haha! XD)

Harli sat down at one end. "Hungry?" she asked.
(LOL!)

"Very," Jargo replied, taking a seat at the other end.

(Man, it is 5 days till my birthday and I have three ulcers on my lower lip. I can't eat, talk, or smile without feeling pure, complete, and utter pain and agony! Please pray that they will be gone before my birthday!)
(XP)

"Good." Harli chuckled. "'Cause I'm starved!"

(Praying Hannah!)

Jargo chuckled, then took a bit of the meat in his mouth. Chewing it quietly, he said, "Harli... Do you ever wonder what happened to that scoundrel, Cujo? I may not be an Alpha anymore, but I'm still out to get him..." Jargo's brows were furrowed in something like anger.

(Thank you! My gosh, this thing's the size of a moon crater! DX)

At the name Cujo, Harli's eyes narrowed. She pinned her ears back in anger, then swallowed her food. "He won't be coming around anymore.... unless a miracle happened to heal those wounds." she snickered, looking up at her mate with dancing eyes.

(D: That must be awful!)

Quote: Jargo pretended to pout. "Oh, darn," he mock-whined. Snickering, he added, "Well, I'm sure his last moments with you were fun." His eyes gleamed and his maw had plastered upon it a smile of purely wicked delight.

(Yeah, it is...DX I think it's getting a little better, though...)

"Oh, they were absolutely delightful." Harli snickered, a smile spread across her face.

(Still praying!)

Jargo grinned. "So, any plans?"

(Timeskip? And, thanks for the prayers.)
Harli shrugged, "Nope." she shook her head.

(Sure! I'm gonna timeskip to almost the pups. K? You are most welcome.)
Harli lounged around the den, feeling sluggish and slow. Her belly was large, and she seemed almost ready to pop. Flopping down in the shade of a bush, she laid her head on her paws. Something felt queer. It wasn't anything physically, but mentally. It was strange.

Quote: Jargo was loping through the Loner Lands with a large rabbit hanging limp and lifeless from his jaws. He spotted Harli and lumbered up. "Hey, gorgeous, look what I got," he said, Dropping the rabbit, he added, in a tone of devilish glee, "It's still alive." And indeed the poor rabbit was, for as it hit the ground, it kicked it's legs and squirmed, though it was mangled past the point of no return to life.

Raven hissed to Mint, "See, I told ya she would catch us," though she'd never really said anything of the sort. She stepped in and looked at Cerise. Her paws crossed over each other and her head hung, though her eyes rolled up to look at the Alpha. "H-hello," she mumbled back. How she wished she could just hide herself in her daddy's fur! Maybe this wasn't such a great idea after all!

Russet opened his maw to say that he would go, despite the many horrible feelings that he got from deep inside screaming at him, telling him not to. He watched Mantis head towards a garage and barked, "Hey, what are you doing?"

"Hello," replied Cerise, offering Raven a warm smile. "So what are you two doing up here?" She thought she knew the answer, but figured she would let Mint and Raven speak for themselves.

Mint looked to Raven, almost as if hoping that her sister would take the blame. But sighing lightly, she shook her head. That was hardly fair... And so she stepped forward, her head hanging in shame. "I... uh... wanted to see what the affla den was like..." she uttered, turning her gaze up at Cerise with her big green eyes.

Cerise nodded knowingly. "I see." She smiled, though her voice held notes of sternness in it. Whether these pups had replenished her energy or not, there were still rules that they needed to follow. Entering the Alpha's den without permission was not typically allowed. Still, they were young and still learning. "Dogs are not to enter this den without my say so, no matter what age they are." She gave them both sharp looks to make her point. "So I don't want this happening again. Understood?"

Minty had fallen back to stand by her sister, her ears drooping. "Yes, ma'am," she replied quietly. She couldn't bear looking up at the Alpha, instead glancing at her sister.

Waiting briefly for Raven's response, Cerise then moved on. "Good." Her expression softening, her smile grew, and she gestured around the den with one paw. "So what was it you wanted to see?" she asked. There was no need to crush their spirits here, she figured. The curiosity of pups needed to be nurtured if they were to grow into understanding and empathetic adults.

"Hmm?" muttered Mantis, pausing in mid-step. He looked back at Russet, his expression glum. "Oh, well I thought that might work better for the job." And he pointed with his nose toward some sort of portable stairs that hung on the wall of the garage. It was long enough to reach the shore of the unnatural pond, Mantis figured, and then they wouldn't have to decide who would take on a suicidal task by jumping into the pond with the rope.

Quote: Raven looked at Minty in shock as her sister looked like she wanted her to take the blame. She nearly pinned her ears in anger and her gaze moved to Cerise as she watched Minty step forward. Also looking down at her paws, she stammered uncertainly. "Um, well, I don't really... We just wanted to see what the den was like..." she said.

Dixie looked at the stairs and said nothing. Russet looked disappointed, as he had half-hoped his idea would have been a good one. But it looked like Mantis's idea was better. He said nothing, sitting on his haunches and yawning. Finally, Dixie spoke up.

"We need to do something; that poor dog looks like she's getting weaker by the moment!"
