Sonya managed a small smile as Hollyleap approached, relieved that her friend had made it to safety. Lightning flashed in the window, causing her to press against her father's side and hunch down further. "S-sorry, I'm a little--" BOOM! "--s-scared of storms..." she explained to Hollyleap, shuddering as the thunder shook the floor and pounded in her chest.

Rex was surprised, and his yellowed teeth were still bared in a furious snarl, but his body language said that he was no longer threatening her. Slowly, his lips slipped back down, covering his teeth, and his eyes softened; "You are not a Jargoan?" he said, his voice confused. She smelled almost similar to a Jargoan.
"A what?" Jane's voice was equally confused. "I'm not anything but a loner." She replied slowly, unsure of each word.

Quote: Sylver slipped inside, her short gray fur stuck fast to her body. She shivered, and sat down. With each lightning bolt she whined softly. She knew what this was. A tornado. Her master had died in one of these.

Stone padded to him. "Sir, we should make a cave under this den. It would be safer" he said.
"There is no possible way to do so; that would take too long, and the storm will be upon us any minute now. If it weren't for this wind, we would be able to make it to The Undergrounds, a place of shelter, dug by foxes, and then customized by dogs. There we would be safe from these storms." Endigo said, looking at Stone, his face grim.

Rex smiled. "I can tell you aren't one of them; you don't have the blackness in your heart or stench of evil about you. You are welcome to stay here as long as you want." He said, leaving Jane to wonder what a Jargoan was.

Faith quickly entered the den behind Sylver, taking a seat near the entrance and watching outside silently. After a while, she looked to Taj and Sylver. "So," she began suspiciously, "what were you two up to?" Her eyes were on Sylver, an almost critical look on her face, but her expression softened when she noticed how scared Sylver appeared to be.

"We were fishing, Fay. Here," Taj replied, not picking up on Faith's judgmental looks. He picked up the fish and tossed it to her feet. "See?"

Faith eyed the fish. Ugh! Every time she told Taj to do something useful, this is what happened--he caught a fish to have an excuse to go swimming. And fish was terrible on top of it all! Her nose wrinkled in disgust as she looked across the den at Taj. "I see," she replied, shaking her head disapprovingly.

Jargo watched the storm, his heart pounding double-time in his chest. Tornado! a voice in his head howled. "I know...!" Jargo growled back to himself. He turned to Harli, his face grim, his eyes wide.
