Lightning sniffed the air and began following Sedna's scent trail. "She went this way."
Mason nodded. "Got sucked down a tunnel, did he?" he laughed. "Don't worry; he'll be fine! I'm sure of it." He looked at her. She was a fair dog, with fine features and beautiful eyes. He found himself staring, fascinated, at her. "Sorry, gal, don't mean to stare; you just look... familiar." he apologized quickly for his rude action, blushing and looking away. "Well, what do you say we go find the old chap?" he tried to change the subject, not wanting to get sucked into his past.Faith's expression changed to a neutral one, though there was a small frown on her maw. She glanced to her paws, then looked slightly upward in thought. "About half way between here and the koi pond. There's a den that he just... vanished into," she replied, unsure of how else to describe Taj's disappearance. She looked back to Mason, slowly blinking her pale brown eyes.
Endigo followed Lightning, a small growl gradually rising in his throat. This crafty, deceitful young she dog was fixing to pay for her crimes! His normally kind brown eyes glowed with an angry look. How should he punish her? SHould he kill her on the spot? Or should he let the offended do the deed? He continued to think, his mind racing with thoughts. He didn't really want to punish her with a death sentence; how else could he possibly teach this dog a lesson she needed to learn? He shook his head, muttering to himself, trying to clear his head of the swirling thoughts. It was pack law that a spy was to be killed, but how could he carry that law out when he had vowed to live his life as merciful Alpha? Again, he shook his head, but the swirling torrent of thoughts refused to leave.Lightning sniffed the air and began following Sedna's scent trail. "She went this way."

(I can't believe SilkiesForEver is OFFLINE! GAAAH!)
Mason nodded, glancing about, his eyes searching hopefully for two more dogs who might be willing to search for their packmate. He couldn't believe the entire pack hadn't stepped forward to help. He drooped his tail and stood in a submissive pose, as he saw his Alpha, Rex, approaching.Faith smiled at Mason's reassurance. "I hope so," she replied. Her smile faded to more of a look of curiosity as the old dog stared at her. Familiar, he had said? She supposed it was because she had a rather boring, common fur pattern. Moving on without response, she nodded. "Once we get one or two more dogs to join the search party," she replied to his question.

"At ease," Rex said, smiling warmly; "I'm not coming over here to humiliate you; I'm just coming to help search for a fellow packmate." Mason nodded. "I see, Alpha." he spoke softly. "Well, now we only need one more dog. I can't believe no one's stepped forward to help! I'd expect at least ten to help!" he shook his head in disbelief.
