"Good." she winced, laying her head back down. Her eyes were red and bloodshot, as she searched the den. "We have to get out of here, Jargo." she hissed, scenting it thoroughly. Her muscles tensed as if to get up, but her body didn't even rise one inch. She relaxed, panting and whimpering in defeat.

Jargo nodded, but before he could speak, he heard a familiar voice: it was Endigo. "Oh, you think you're just going to up and leave, do you?"

Jargo's head whipped around and he snarled at Endigo. "Yes; I am uninterested in staying here with the likes of you! And how're you alive, anyhow? I heard you were killed!"

Endigo's eyes filled with sadness and anger and what looked like confusion. "I was nearly killed, but then I held on and decided to fake my death to find a better life. I am no more suiting an Alpha of Golden Pack than you are, and I have resigned myself to the life of a loner," he said quietly. "It is better this way,"

Jargo glared at him, then looked at Harli and is gaze searched hers to see if she had a plan.

(YAY!)

Harli's golden eyes were filled with nothing but terror. Here she was, laying helpless on the ground, wounded and unable to fight, with Endigo before her. He could kill her in a second and she could do nothing about it. He might do it too, as she had caused so much pain and grief to him and his pack. Tucking her tail under her limp legs, she turned to her mate, her eyes wide, exposing what she felt inside.

Quote: Endigo's eyes wandered to her and he seemed to read her thoughts. "I will not kill you; though you are injured and I could easily get revenge for what you have done to me, I will not. Too much blood has been shed." he said. He moved his gaze to Jargo and added, "Your son, Tarro, is to fight my son, Rowan, for Golden Pack." Sitting down with a heavy sigh, like an older dog, he looked at his paws and mumbled things inaudible to Jargo.

Blinking in surprise, Jargo felt meek. He was in the paws of his arch enemy, the dog he'd inflicted so much pain and suffering upon, and he wouldn't kill him. Pushing away that meekness, he felt a fire burning inside him and his eyes lit up with anger. If Endigo wouldn't kill him, he could certainly kill Endigo!

Harli put her muzzle to the floor, her head spinning. She blinked over and over again, as what Endigo said made her feel nauseous. She let out a soft moan, closing her eyes. "How's being a loner?" she asked, her voice having so hint of the sneer she felt inside.

Quote: Endigo nodded. "It's a fine life; you're just looking out for number one... Sorta the way I am starting to like it." he said, after a brief pause since his nod. His eyes shifting to glance at Jargo, he added, "Jargo, don't bother attacking me. I'm big and fat from the meals I don't have to share and I can easily beat you now, especially since you're wounded and I am not."

Jargo snarled, but laid his head down and glared at his rival before leaning over by Harli and giving her a gentle nudge. "We'll find a way to get outta here, just you wait," he whispered, nibbling her ear a bit. Endigo's ears swiveled around, but he said nothing at this comment.
