Sonya tailed the dogcatcher, but was not fast enough to prevent him from putting Yuki in the truck. She watched with wide, worried eyes as he then grabbed the dogcatcher's pole. Her ears fell back and she snarled, her hackles beginning to rise. All she knew was that she didn't want that thing on her neck. She tensed, pawing the ground a bit, then ran for the man's knees, hoping to trip him.

Taj tilted his head. "You sure? You don't sound so good," he added, though he shrugged it off. If Mel said he was okay, he must'a been okay. "Well, I guess you're free now, little dude. What do you want to do?" he asked, smiling again. He crouched a bit to be at eye level with the pup, his tail wagging slightly.
 
The shape of a black German Shepherd ran beside Sonya, snarling at the dog catcher.
