Buck laughed, then snarled viciously as he felt needle sharp pains surging through his flank. Harli had locked her jaws on his leg and wouldn't let go. She shook her head side to side, ripping Buck's flesh. Buck forgot about Jargo and Rex and took out all his anger on Harli. He flew at her throat, but Harli anticipated this, and ducked her head, tightening her jaws on his leg. Buck howled in anger, and locked his jaws on her scruff. Harli snarled and kicked out with her back legs, causing Buck's legs to buckle beneath him.

Jargo leaped onto Buck's back and began tearing into his flesh, shaking his head while holding a fold of Buck's skin.

Rex tried to shake off the pain, and he feebly attacked Buck, lunging at the throat.

Harli growled, and flailed her paws, twisting her head trying to get free. Banner dragged himself to a cover of trees, and watched helplessly as the fight went on. He couldn't help, but wait. Is that Rex?! He thought, when his eyes fell upon the brown heap of fur on the ground. He bolted to his friend, dragging his injured leg along. "Rex!" He barked. He reached down to pick up his friend's scruff.

Rex moaned. He had lost a lot of blood, and more still was gushing from two huge gashes on his stomach. "Banner... run... he'll.. kill you!" Rex begged his friend to leave.

Harli squealed as Buck swung his head, chucking her against a tree. She fell to the ground and Buck bolted at her again, but she leaped at him and the two dogs clawed and bit at each other furiously. Banner watched as he pulled Rex away. Wow, those dogs fight like no one I've ever seen! He thought. He didn't even think himself, fully healed, could take down Harli, let alone Buck.

"I'd like to see you try." Harli retorted, through bloody lips. "I'll kill both of you." Buck snarled, his body trembled with anger.
