Melanie whimpered, her sides shuddered, and the fifth pup was born. It was small and gray, and looked a little bit like his father. Melanie sighed, completely exhausted. "Rex, I can't go on." She mouthed, barely making a sound.

"No." Everest snarled. "NegroPack." He stared at the oncoming mob.
"It's okay. You have one more pup left." Rex said, nervous, anxious.

Dixie growled. "More sick-minded mutts." she muttered.

Jargo finally crossed over the Golden Pack Border and reached the Golden Pack throne, a large rock, manmade from a boulder, and placed on that very spot by the park designers. It stood at least 5 feet of the ground, and the back part sloped downwards, running smoothly alongside the ground, making a perfect ramp for the dogs to walk onto it. Jargo smiled. "Hello, new life!" he said, looking at Harli. "Isn't it beautiful?"

Melanie whimpered, her head falling back. Soon, a brown/red female pup was born. Melanie lay still; not moving, not even quivering.

Everest laughed bitterly. "That's the same thing i was thinking." He snarled.

Rex took it from her, licked it clean, and tucked it beside her belly. "You did it Melanie!" he smiled. "Banner would be proud, too." he wanted to say he was proud, but he wasn't sure he should. He wasn't even sure he should be here; he wasn't Melanie's mate, though he wished he was.

"Good. Let's get them. How dare they come here?" she snarled.

"Oh yes!" Harli smiled. "Perfect place for pups to grow and play." She smiled, her eyes searching the den site.
Jargo grinned, then he began to walk towards the throne.

A storm was blowing in; the moon was hidden by dark clouds, the wind had changed from a warm breeze to a cold gust, and the air was frigid. As Jargo approached, a dark shape appeared on the throne: it was Endigo.

"There will be no fight!" Endigo howled. "ENDIGO!" Jargo howled in fury. "How did you escape?!"

Endigo sneered down at him. "You left me with a fat dog that can barely run. It only took me running past him to escape." he said, grinning, his white fangs standing out in the darkness.
