Buck was scared ans surprised. "T-that's not your business!" He snapped, his cropped ears drooped. Harli looked around ashamed too, she had been exactly where he had.
"I... I was in the fights, too." Jargo said, softly. He slowly stepped back, allowing Buck the freedom to get away. "I know what it was like."

Buck staggered to his feet. "Yeah sure." He snarled. "Your just a regular dog. I'm a pitt bull!" Buck howled, anger cracking his voice. Then he looked at Harli. "You are a good fighter." He said. Harli stared back at him. "Thank you. I was also a fighting dog."
Buck crouched again, but this time from exhaustion. Harli stepped back, looked at Jargo, then dipped her head. "Take the rabbit." She said quietly, wondering what Jargo's reaction would be.

Nessa sighed in frustration and moved her 'nest' for the pups to -yet again- to another spot. "Nooooooo!" she howled. "That won't work." and busied herself moving it again and rearranging it's content- straw, newspapers, and the old coat.

After an unsuccessful scavenging trip, Sonya entered the church den in time to see Nessa fussing over her nest. Calmly walking over, she offered a smile and tilted her head. "Do you need any help?" she asked quietly. She had not heard the news of the pups yet, though the look on her face made it evident that she had noticed Nessa's condition.

"Pit bulls aren't the only dogs that can fight." Jargo said. "Dobermans, such as myself, can fight as well. I'm not pure doberman. My father was a pit bull. My mother was a doberman." Jargo saw Harli, and nodded. "You can have the rabbit."
