Endigo snapped his jaws shut on Harli's throat. "Is she important to you, Jargo?!" he snarled at his rival. Jargo looked shocked. "Yes! She is! She's my mate!" he bellowed. Then, he sneered. "But you ain't a killer... you wouldn't kill her..." Endigo glared into Jargo's eyes. "You doubt me?!" he snarled. "Yes..." Jargo grinned. "I don't just doubt you; I know, for a fact, that you couldn't kill a single dog." "Oh yeah?!" Endigo snapped. "How 'bout Hector, the dog I killed in the fight?" Jargo's eyes widened.


(Melanie has pups?! When did this happen? Who's her mate?)

Everest flipped over, trying to dislodge his attacker.

Harli whimpered, writhing, trying to get free. She stopped as she saw Buck's muscular figure slinking behind Endigo. "I believe you've got your jaws on my daughter." He snarled, towering over Endigo.

(Teehee! You'll have to wait and see....)

Rex hung on, sinking his teeth deeper in... (Gaw, I hope you're okay with that!)

Endigo's eyes widened in fear. "Haaahaahaa!" Jargo cackled. "Endigo, meet Buck!" Endigo let go of Harli, and Jargo ran to her. "Oh, my dear, are you okay?" he asked, worrisome.

Layla veered right, then left, trying to juke Delano.
 
Mat saw Endigo in Buck's shadow, and fear swallowed him, but he was brave. He ran at Buck, and lowered his head to headbutt the huge dog. "Get away from my friend!" he snarled.
 
Delano lunged for Layla's scruff as she veered right, only to have his jaws close on nothing but air as she feigned the movement. He snarled, whirling to try and tackle her to the ground.
